Mind/Body

Reiki: Reiki is a Japanese healing technique that promotes balance and harmony in the body, mind and spirit. Reiki reduces stress and creates great relaxation. Kerri is a practitioner of Usui Reiki Ryoho, and she offers Reiki + Acupuncture Combination sessions that take healing to a greater and much deeper level.

Meditation: Meditation can help create balance, calm the mind and ease stress, keep you grounded, and connect your mind to your body. Create some time for yourself to meditate everyday, even if only for 5 minutes. There are wonderful apps that are free, such as Insight Timer, and Calm. You can choose meditation based on time or subject. Give it a try!

Yoga: Yoga is an amazing form of exercise to help with so many different health ailments and issues. Please practice safely, and consult a doctor prior to starting a practice if there is an injury. For Fertility, I recommend “Restoring Fertility: yoga for optimal fertility,” by Brandon Horn and Wendy Yu. They are licensed Acupuncturists and Fertility specialists who created a yoga program based on phases of a woman’s menstrual cycle. It is available for purchase on Amazon, or through their website www.restoringfertility.com

Qi (Chi) Gong: Qi Gong is an ancient form of meditation and exercise that helps qi (energy/life force) flow freely throughout the body, clearing blockages and creating full flow of blood and fluids throughout the body. Qi Gong can enliven and rejuvenate the body, while clearing and brightening the mind.

Massage: Massage therapy is an excellent way to relax the body and mind and release any built up tension in the body. There are certain points that may be contraindicated during specific times of your menstrual cycle, IVF stimulation cycle, or pregnancy, so please ask Kerri if there are any areas of the body that should not be stimulated. For massages in Kerri’s office, please contact Diane Cellini of West Chester Massage & Bodywork – 484-995-7183, www.westchestermassageandbodywork.com. She’s available Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturdays. (link located in blogroll).
